MicNo Hyg

Additives for ceramic, polymers, coatings, textiles

Microorganisms can be found almost anywhere on Earth. Many invisible microorganisms live especially in closets and sinks. It is not always possible to provide complete hygiene with the cleaning products used. Therefore, hygienic products are very important in places where microorganisms live.

Why should we use antibacterial products?

  • To prevent the formation of biofilms, which are more difficult to remove by cleaning and disinfection
  • To prevent cross contamination which is the transfer of a harmful substance from equipment to people
  • Hygiene procedures are not employed correctly
  • To prevent biodegradation of materials

MicNo Hyg is tailored form of MicNo to provide very high efficiency high protection. MicNo Hyg uses synergistic protection effect of ZnO & metallic activities.

MicNo Hyg is proposed as an alternative to conventional antibacterial agents and can be used for:

  • Ceramic

  • Polymers
  • Coatings
  • Textiles

Precise nanoscale homogeneous distribution of metallic activates over MicNo ZnO plated surface results in unique performance advantages.

Bacteria and archaea are almost always microscopic, while a number of eukaryotes are also microscopic, including most protists, some fungi as well as some micro animals and plants. It is necessary to maintain hygiene in such environments by preventing the reproduction of bacteria and/or by killing bacteria such as Escherichia coli (ATCC 8739) and Staphylococcus aureus (ATCC 6538), which pose risk to human healthy by causing various diseases.

The MicNo Hyg micron particulates have been engineered by Entekno Materials scientist to form a novel platelet structure that is extremely effective against a range of micro-organisms.
