Microorganisms can be found almost anywhere on Earth. Many invisible microorganisms live especially in closets and sinks. It is not always possible to provide complete hygiene with the cleaning products used. Therefore, hygienic products are very important in places where microorganisms live.

Bacteria and archaea are almost always microscopic, while a number of eukaryotes are also microscopic, including most protists, some fungi as well as some micro animals and plants. It is necessary to maintain hygiene in such environments by preventing the reproduction of bacteria and/or by killing bacteria such as Escherichia coli (ATCC 8739) and Staphylococcus aureus (ATCC 6538), which pose risk to human healthy by causing various diseases.
