Entekno Materials has four types of barium titanate powder products.

First is “equiaxed” powder which has <300 nm particle size. Second is “ready to press-RTP” powder which is produced from equiaxed powder improved for your easy shaping process. Third is “modified” BaTiO3, also produced from equiaxed particles for easy disperson process to form polymer composites. The last one is barium titanate platelets which has 5-25 µm particle size, with high aspect ratio, can be used in templated grain growth technology.

PRODUCTION METHOD
BaTiO3 platelets are synthesized with special techniques to control morphology and crystallographic orientation. These platelets are developed for textured, high performance ferroelectric systems.

PRODUCTION METHOD
BaTiO3 powder (<500 nm) is granulated to less than 150 micron with organic additives for easy pressing process.

High dielectric polymer composites are used in electronic devices and electrical systems. Our modified barium titanate powder has excellent properties with its high dielectric constant, low loss, surface area, particle size, particle size distribution and dispersion properties to use in polymer composites.

Barium Titanate Templates

BaTiO3 platelets are basic components for texturing lead free piezoelectric ceramics. Desired morphological properties with high aspect ratio, damage free features etc. can be improved by controlling synthesis conditions. Single phase BaTiO3 platelets with 5-25 µm particle size, with high aspect ratio can be synthesized in ENTEKNO Laboratories. You can choose ENTEKNO templates which are good candidates for your TGG process. Lets see selection criteria below for your help:

  • Lattice parameter mismatch between template and the desired phase should be less than 15%,
  • The templating phase must be able to nucleate and grow from the oriented template particle at elevated temperature,
  • The template particle must have a suitably high aspect ratio morphology so that it can be oriented readily,
  • The template should not react or dissolve into the matrix before, stable oriented nuclei form and grow.
