MicNo is a unique, hexagonal platelet morphology that allows MicNo to behave as safe micron particles over the skin & transparent nano particles under the light; exhibiting only the positive elements of micron & nano ZnO.
Proven to have a much higher absorbance of rays within the UV wavelengths than conventional micron & nano ZnO, MicNo offers a higher protection against UVA, UVB & Blue Light by percentage mass & a higher SPF ratio per percentage mass.
With its novel hexagonal structure, MicNo covers a larger surface area per percentage mass than conventional ZnO. This allows formulators to use less UV filter to achieve their sun protection needs, allowing for cost-effective, high SPF formulations.
MicNo® also offers the opportunity for decreased or preservative free formulations, due to its broad-spectrum antimicrobial activity against a range of micro-organisms & fungi. As a COSMOS ECOCERT approved ingredient, MicNo® is natural, biocompatible & environmentally friendly.
MicNo® Sun Care Application particle technology combines the strengths of micron and nano size scales while reducing/eliminating their weaknesses.
MicNo exhibits high transparency which results in a formulation that is none whitening, even at 25% MicNo & offers a much more visually pleasing formulation.
